We’re still here
July 14, 2008Hello Everyone! We are still here. We’ve had a busy several weeks and I’ve been out of touch. I’ve updated my Flickr account with various pictures.
We had a great time at Jordan’s Birthday party watching the latest Indiana Jones movie.
Fourth of July was pretty fun. We were spoiled in Fort Worth because we always went over to a friends house to launch our own fireworks. This year was pretty cool though. We took a back road to get to our neighborhood’s fireworks show. We stumbled upon the field where they were launching them from and we got a front row view.
Our nephew is in town so we took the boys to Moody Garden in Galveston the other day. We had a full day!
Missy has been feeling pretty good lately. So far Momma and baby are doing just fine. We are slowly getting to the due date.
Other than that I am on a quest to pick up the latest iPhone. I waited in line for 4 hours on Saturday and the store ran out. I was fifth in line at the time. I’ll try again tomorrow.
Take care everyone and I’ll post more soon.

No doubt about it, I’m a boy!!!
June 21, 2008We had the big sonogram this past week where they measure every part of the baby from head to toe. We got to take the boys with us and they were pretty excited to be able to see the baby.
The baby was pretty cooperative and he even looked at the “camera” for a picture.
And yes, without a doubt, he made sure we knew he is a boy.
Everything looked great and the baby seems to be doing just fine. Mommy’s going pretty good too.

School is out! Summer’s Here!
June 5, 2008We celebrated the last day of school by opening a vintage 2007 can of silly string. Actually we had 4 cans. It didn’t last long. Missy stayed out of reach with the camera.

Babies in the Modern Age
June 4, 2008![]()
Missy and I have discovered that things have changed quite a bit since we last had a baby in the house. Of course I’m talking about gadgets. I’ve got the ability to take pictures and movies and share them instantly with friends and family. We’ve got boxes of pictures and video tapes from the boys that no one has seen. The swings, chairs, and bouncy seats have changed a lot too.
Another thing that has changed is shopping. At the click of a mouse I can have just about anything a baby needs delivered to my front door. We have been Amazon customers for years. Earlier this year I signed up for Amazon Prime. That is a service where you pay a flat rate per year and you get free 2 day shipping for anything that Amazon sells directly. Overnight shipping is only $4. The service has already paid for itself.
We decided that we would go ahead and register on Amazon for baby stuff. You can find our registry by going to www.amazon.com/babyregistry and search for Scott or Missy Masters. I haven’t priced everything yet but we will probably order formula and diapers there. With no sales tax and free shipping it’s hard to beat it. (As long as you can wait a day or 2 for it to arrive.)

What a Season!!!
May 29, 2008The Spring 2008 sports season is officially over! What a season it was. Ethan’s soccer team finished first in their division and Jordan’s baseball team fought their way to the championship game and ended the tournament in 2nd place. It’s strange not having games and practice to go to every night.
Here are a couple of pictures from the trophy and medal presentations. I’m sorry for the poor quality. We forgot the camera at Jordan’s game and someone took the picture with their camera phone.

And then there were two…
May 21, 2008Championship game here we come!!!
Jordan’s baseball team just eliminated another team from the playoffs! That leaves one team left. The kids have been really fighting hard. We ended the season in 5th place and now were are ready to battle for the championship.
The team plays Thursday night. Unfortunately Jordan has a choir performance at the same time. He tried out for a speaking part and has been practicing it since January. He’s pretty bummed that he’s going to miss his game but if they win he’ll have another chance. This is a double elimination tournament and the other game hasn’t lost a game yet. We have to beat them twice to take the big trophy. We’re hoping that the team wins tomorrow and we have a chance to beat them again next week!

The Police!!!
May 21, 2008
I’m sorry for the lousy picture but all I had was my phone and it doesn’t have a good camera on it. It’s hard to tell but that is Sting and the rest of the Police.
The concert was awesome! These 3 sound just as good if not better live than their studio recordings. They are starting to show their age but they don’t sound it. All the favorites were there. Roxanne, Every Breathe you Take, Message in a Bottle, …
We were a little preoccupied during the opening singer (Elvis Costello. Not a big fan so I won’t say much). Jordan was playing a baseball game across town and Missy’s sister was texting us the play by play. We were pretty excited to find that they won!!!
The concert wrapped up around 11 and we made it home just after midnight. Needless to say the alarm clock was not welcomed this morning. I used to be able to stay up late and still make it to work the next morning. Now I think it is going to take a couple of days to recoup. As Missy reminds me constantly I’m getting Old!!!

I’m a boy! I think…

It’s kind of like Where’s Waldo, but you’re not looking for Waldo.
I’m sorry I haven’t posted in a while. Things have been extremely busy lately. We had this sonogram taken yesterday and they are about 90% sure it’s a boy. We’ll go back in a few weeks for our 20 week sonogram. They should know 100% by then.
I guess it’s time to come up with boy names.
In other news, soccer season is officially over. I can finally sleep in on Saturday mornings again. The league doesn’t keep stats, but unofficially Ethan’s team ended the season in first place. They only lost 1 game all season. Ethan scored a total of 3 goals for the season and made several saves as goalie!
Baseball is in full playoff fever! Jordan’s team lost their first playoff game putting them in the loser’s bracket but they have been playing strong ever since. Last night they knocked the top team of the season out the playoffs. If we can win the next two nights we’ll make it to the championship game!
And finally, tonight Missy and I are going to see The Police in concert!!! I’ll try to give you a full review tomorrow!

New Video Creator
April 25, 2008I just discovered a new video site, animoto.com. They will create a video from your pictures. I clicked about three options and made this short video from pictures I had taken over the Easter weekend.
